Katie & Stephen’s Wedding at the Fairview in Napa

This wedding was something out of an enchanted fairy tale! They had lovely white pumpkins, bubbles, a storybook that held their vows, a tiara fit for a princess! They chose a gorgeous spot at the Fairview Napa surrounded by vineyards and rolling hills. This was especially amazing because their venue was one of the few lucky ones to be spared in the Napa wildfires that burned in the weeks leading up to their wedding.

They decided on a first look before their Ceremony. Stephen stood under an old oak tree and Katie got to walk up behind him and surprise him. Their first look was super sweet and they were joined by their bridal party for a few portraits at just the right moment for a lovely glow!

For their ceremony, they had a close friend officiate their wedding (in an amazing top hat!) and included a hand fasting ceremony with ribbons that they had braided themselves. Their reception was right next to their ceremony in a room decorated with drapes and chandeliers! Perfect for the fairy tale mood they were incorporating into their wedding!

This was a very special scenario wedding for us because two days before the wedding, Nicole came down with food poisoning and was not able to shoot. Luckily, Paul called in his amazing second shooter Steph, with whom he had been shooting weddings for years. Not being able to shoot a wedding is one of a wedding photographer’s worst nightmares but Paul and Steph were able to step in and shoot this gorgeous wedding!
