Mark and Shante decided to have their engagement session at the University of California Berkeley Botanical Gardens. They will be having their wedding there as well later this year. It is such a beautiful and interesting place to have a session! The gardens are sorted by places of the world where the plants are from and they have so many from all over the world. Everywhere you turn, there is a different type of plant or tree to look at! There is also a redwood grove just across the street hat is divine. It is like being in a forest under the redwoods and everything smells so fresh and alive. It is one of our new favorite spots to have a session.
These two had such a romantic session in the grove and the gardens and they brought lots of fun props. There is a cooperative card game called Hanabi that they fell in love playing and they decided to include it in the session. It was especially sweet because when Mark proposed he made a scavenger hunt for Shante that had her collecting pieces of the card game all over the country. We photographed Shante’s ring with one of the card, since that game has so much meaning for them. They also brought a tiny top hat, veil and sassy sunglasses. It was so uniquely them!
We can’t wait for their wedding in June!
