Elise and Scott have such a sweet love story! They are high school sweethearts and will be celebrating their 10-year anniversary next year! When Scott proposed last year at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco, he surprised Elise with her friends and family waiting afterward to celebrate with them!
After Scott proposed to Elise at the Palace of Fine Arts, they knew they wanted to have their engagement session at the same spot! Only one small problem: though the Palace of Fine Arts is beautiful, it is full of crowds of tourists, prom and engagement couples, and locals soaking up the sun.
Even though it can be challenging at that spot, we wanted to find a way to make it work because it was such a special spot for them. Before any shoot, we make sure to scout the location ahead of the session so we can work around challenges like crowds, rapidly changing light and any other unforeseen issues.
As soon as we started Elise and Scott’s session, I knew it was going to be one of my favorites! They are so sweet together and are filled with so much laughter and fun. A few minutes into their session, the crowds began to disperse and the sunset turned everything golden. It was perfect timing for the session! It was also one of the rare days in San Francisco that was not foggy and we were able to head across the street to Crissy Field and get images with the sun setting over the Golden Gate bridge!
We are so happy for them and we can’t wait to capture their wedding in 2020!
