What a dreamy engagement session with these Kristine and Jesse! For their session, we went a little further than we normally go and did their session down in Monterey at one of our favorite beaches. The soft light from the fog and the rocky coastline was the perfect backdrop and really made them pop! Asilomar Beach is not as popular as other beaches like Lover’s Point or the Lighthouse but it is the most beautiful beach in Monterey and Pacific Grove. There are so many little pocket beaches amongst the rocky outcroppings and sand dunes. We shot this session in one of the little pocket beaches. The other reason I love this spot so much is that the sunsets from here are so epic with the rugged coastline.
Kristine flew her friend, Maid of honor and make up artist, Roczane to do her make up for the session. It was awesome having a make up on site for touch ups and she had the cutest heart palette she used to mix the make up. What a sweet friend to do all that for Kristine!! These two looked totally flawless and I am obsessed with both of Kristine’s outfits and her make up. Her purple dress was the perfect choice for this shoot and she really stood out from the soft background. While I was shooting these two, their formal outfits totally reminded me of classic old Hollywood. Jesse was channeling Marlon Brando and Frank Sinatra with his suit!
This was an especially meaningful shoot for us because Kristine and I have been friends through a martial arts group and we are so honored to be the ones to capture their love story! I am so happy for the two of them as they embark on their wedding journey! Scroll down to see their romantic session!
