Maria and Rafael’s wedding was such an amazing day and such a lovely way to kick off our 2019 season! Even though there were storms all week, the weather cleared up on the morning of the wedding and the sun was shining. Later that evening, the full moon even made an appearance and we caught it rising just over the gazebo for a few of their portraits.
We loved their wedding not only because they are so sweet, but also because they incorporated so many delicate and simple details that made their day so elegant. Their ring box was made out of birch wood and Maria had a lovely bouquet and hairpiece that her family made just for her wedding. I also loved the bridesmaids’ dresses and their fur wraps- what a fun way to stay warm during a winter wedding!
Another facet of their wedding that we loved was the live music during the ceremony and the reception. For the processional down the aisle and while guests were arriving, they arranged to have a violinist playing beautiful renditions of love songs. Then at the reception, a mariachi band arrived during the middle of the evening. All the musicians they hired were so talented!
They chose the Pleasant Hill Community for their wedding and we were so excited to shoot there again. There is such a cute park and gazebo for the ceremony and an inside hall for the reception. We love shooting here because the landscape and the light are lovely and it is the perfect place for a wedding!
We are so excited for Maria and Rafael as they begin the next chapter of their lives as husband and wife! It was such an honor to serve this super sweet and kind couple and we wish them all the happiness in the world!
