The rain this spring has been so non-stop that planning engagement sessions around it has been tricky, to say the least. We took a chance for Alison and Jake’s shoot and hoped for a break in the weather. Contrary to the weather reports, we got lucky and had some surprisingly good moments of sunshine peaking through the clouds. Even with a little rain, Baker Beach was absolutely gorgeous for these two!
While we were shooting, we found some amazing spots together like a woodland area just up the hill from the parking lot which turned out to have really interesting looking trees. When the sun finally came out, we went down to the beach and were treated with a gorgeous view of the Golden Gate bridge. Baker Beach is such a great engagement session location because there are so many little spots to photograph in. Even though the light changed A LOT because of the clouds and rain blowing through, we were able to use a ton of different locations in and around the beach because of change in light.
It was so much fun shooting with Alison and Jake! They recently returned from a whirlwind trip around the globe and made time for their engagement shoot before embarking on their next adventure of moving to Colorado. Baker Beach was the perfect spot for these two since they love the outdoors and nature. We are so excited for them and are even more excited about their wedding this fall!
