Kristine & Jesse’s Wedding at Old Mission San Jose & Casa Bella

It was a perfect June day for a wedding! Kristine and Jesse’s wedding was a mix of elegant details, special moments and fun. Their day started in a VRBO home rental in the heart of Livermore’s Vineyards. The bride and her girls were treated to gorgeous vistas of vineyards, rolling golden California hills and swaying palm trees while they got ready. Downstairs, Jesse was writing a sweet love note to his future wife and spending some time with his groomsmen and family in a house that looked like something straight out of Tuscany.

They were married at a historic church, Old Mission San Jose in Fremont in a traditional Catholic Mass. One of my favorite moments from the day was during the ceremony’s processional. The bridal party had walked down the aisle and everyone turned to look back at the large double doors in the back which were opened to reveal Kristine positively glowing in the sunshine before her walk down the aisle. It was such an epic way to make an entrance!

They continued the rest of the day in style. Jesse surprised Kristine with an old school limo to drive them to their reception location at Casa Bella in Sunol. Their reception was just as epic with details and elegance. They had a traditional tiered wedding cake but added donuts and a variety of cakes and their guests were treated to a whole roasted pig.

Once Kristine and Jesse made their grand entrance, the party really got started! They kicked things off with a choreographed dance with a live performance by two of their friends. Afterward, nearly everyone hit the dance floor! One tradition that we absolutely love is that they had a special dance where all the couples in attendance were invited onto the dance floor and every few moments the MC would narrow down the couples who had been together the longest. Several couples had been married over 40 years!

The rest of the night was a nonstop party with the traditional bouquet and garter toss and cake cutting but also several dance offs, break dancing, money dances, and a photo booth. One person even made Kristine and Jesse a special slideshow that showed off pictures of them from childhood and growing up. It was an absolute blast and we are so happy for these two as they start the next part of their journey together as husband and wife. Congrats!!
