Colleen & Brian’s Wedding at the Lawrence Hall of Science

What do you get when you cross a wedding with legos and science? Colleen & Brian wedding at the Lawrence Hall of Science in Berkeley! It was an amazing day and a rare sunny day in the Berkeley hills. It was so clear that guests were treated to an amazing view of the bay and San Francisco while they watched the ceremony.

We loved this wedding so much! Their theme was a mix of Star Wars, Harry Potter, Legos and Science. How fun! It was totally them and really reflected who they are as a couple.

They started off the day at the Claremont Hotel and Spa down the hill. Brian crushed it during his groom portraits in the bar. I’m getting some serious ‘Casablanca’ vibes from his portraits. Meanwhile, Colleen was surrounded by friends and family as she put the finishing touches on her wedding look. Her dress and shoes were absolutely amazing. Every time she moved, the light caught her dress and made her sparkle all day long.

They had a sweet first look at the hotel before heading up to the Lawrence Hall of Science. Their wedding on the cliff was just the start of a fabulous night! Their details were so unique and we loved the lego figurines the put at each seat for their guests. Their cake topper was even made of legos! For their guest book area, they incorporated their love of Star Wars (with a poster from their engagement session) and Harry Potter. They had an owl cage for their cards and Hedwig the owl beside a sign with different locations from the wizarding world. Their wedding arch was also a stunner and covered in gorgeous flowers!

We loved their other details that really added a little something extra to their wedding day. Their wedding rings were made of meteorites which seemed perfect for them. They also had African fabric table squares since Colleen does work in Africa. They danced beside a projection-mapped globe that was part of an exhibit at the venue. They finished the night off with a dance with friends and then a quick photo outside with the city all lit up behind them. We are so happy for them as they start this next chapter in their lives! Congrats!
