James & Janelle’s Wedding at Diablo Ranch Events

Janelle & James’ day was incredible from start to finish! It was a little touch of country and a lot of love and color. There were horses, bolo ties, cowboy boots, rolling hills and an unforgettable night! They were married at Diablo Ranch Events which is a cattle ranch on the slopes of Mt Diablo. The views from up there were absolutely breathtaking, especially for their ceremony which took place under an oak tree overlooking the hills and the valley.

They started the day off with by sharing a first look in front of rustic barn doors, sharing a special moment together before their guests arrived. Janelle also had a first look with her dad- which was so sweet! After their first look, we went down to their ceremony area where there was a romantic rope swing under another oak tree. There was something so magical about the golden grasses of the hills and the trees and of course, these two were such a blast!

The ceremony followed shortly after and it was a sweet and intimate moment during the day which was a fun complement to the party that followed. They kicked off the reception with their first dance and ringing of the dinner bell. The rest of the night was filled with dancing and good times. One thing that we loved was their casino that opened part of the way through the night. Guests could play and if they lost, that money went to the couple. It was a really fun take on traditions like the money dance and such a fun activity for the guests! Guests were also treated to whiskey tasting, pool tables, a dessert bar and even late-night tacos!

We absolutely loved their wedding day! One thing that I loved most of all was that their wedding felt very true to them and as fun and colorful as both of them. We are so happy for them and their next steps together!
