It was a beautiful, sunshine-filled morning when Alison and Jake tied the knot at the Brazilian Room. These two world travelers had such a sweet wedding in the Berkeley hills and we loved being part of their special day! They chose this location for its natural beauty and for their love of the mountains and the outdoors. In keeping with the outdoors theme, they named each of their tables after their favorite national parks, threw birdseed after the ceremony as they walked back down the aisle and incorporated lots of succulent plants in their wedding details. They also had a cake that was painted to look like the mountains. Amazing!
In addition to their love of the outdoors, they incorporated their love of their family and friends throughout the day. Alison’s brother officiated their ceremony and her older two brothers walked her down the aisle. What I loved about their wedding was how much it focused on their love for each other and their love for all the people around them.
One of our favorite moments was during their last dance. “I’ve Had The Time of My Life” from “Dirty Dancing” was played and lots of people got up to dance. What we didn’t know was that Jake and his buddies were going to do the lift from “Dirty Dancing.” All of a sudden Jake went running towards his friends and jumped…and they caught him and lifted him up. It was incredible and had everyone laughing. What an epic way to end the reception!
We are so happy for the two of them as they are starting on a new adventure together and we wish them many more to come! Congrats, Alison and Jake!
