Katie & Matt’s Wedding at Park Winters

Katie and Matt had a whole lot of fun with their Friday the 13th wedding at Park Winters! There was a full moon, black cats, a very special horror movie portrait and lots of amazing moments!

These two are both fans of the horror genre and decided to spice up the end of their romantic portraits in a very unique way! Once we finished the main part of their portraits around the property, we went into the old Foreman’s quarters which is filled with hundreds of dried flowers and bouquets as well as other antiques. It was the perfect setting for a little “Friday the 13th” movie portrait. Matt pulled out a mask and machete and we did a mash-up of horror and romance- not something I ever thought I would say about a wedding! But we loved it and it was so much fun!

There was even a full moon that night and in a totally unplanned turn of events, there was even a black cat that wandered by during their ceremony which was the perfect spooky compliment to their wedding day. We even finished off their night with a few full moon portraits under their handmade ceremony arch!

It was a perfect late summer/early fall day and their day was simply amazing from start to finish. Park Winters is an amazing venue with so many gardens and little pockets of greenery that made for a lovely wedding.

One of my favorite parts was Katie’s epic wedding dress. It was seriously amazing and a total showstopper! We loved seeing Matt’s face when he saw her at their first look and walking down the aisle! We also loved their pizza buffet and mini pizza cutters they gave to their guests as wedding favors. Such a cute idea!

We just love these two and are so happy for them and the next chapter of their journey together. Congrats Katie & Matt!
