Shelly & Liam’s Wedding in Auburn

What a gorgeous lakeside wedding in the California foothills! Shelly and Liam were married at a private residence in Auburn. It was an unforgettable Disney-themed wedding in the country.

Shelly and Liam incorporated their love for all things Disney throughout their wedding. Both Shelly and Liam looked as if they were straight out of a fairy tale with their outfits. Shelly looked like Cinderella in her sparkly ball gown and Liam absolutely crushed it in his crimson suit. They incorporated Disney on each of their reception tables which had different centerpieces that highlighted Disney movies. They had several spots throughout their wedding that were nods to Disney movies such as their bar and cabana that was a tribute to “Pirates of the Carribean” and the hookah tent that was something straight out of “Alice in Wonderland.” They also had several hidden Mickeys throughout their details like Shelly’s bouquet and in wedding favor keys. For their ceremony, they had two singers perform “I See the Light” from the movie “Tangled.” There were so many more Disney touches throughout the wedding and it was the perfect celebration of the two of them and their Disney love.

You would never guess that this wedding happened in the middle of a power outage. Thank goodness we had advance warning of the power shutoffs to help prevent the wildfires because Shelly and Liam were able to arrange for generators ahead of time. The power was completely cut at the start of their reception but they were able to plug in the generators and keep the lights on and the party going. With 350 guests, it was a non-stop party all night! There was even a conga line led by the father of the bride.

There were so many special moments throughout the day but two of my favorites had to be the Bride and Groom’s first look and the first look that Shelly shared with her dad. Shelly and Liam had their first look down by the lake with all the fall colors reflecting in the water and it was a really romantic moment for them to share together. Then, right before the ceremony, Shelly had her first look with her parents. My absolute favorite moment from the day was the processional when Shelly was walked down the aisle by her father and her two brothers. There was not a dry eye in the audience. It was a really beautiful moment and it was such an honor to capture it.

We are so happy for these two. Congrats Shelly & Liam!
