This was an absolutely fabulous session with these two lovebirds at Lake Temescal in Oakland! I first met Annie at a wedding I was shooting earlier this year. From the moment I met her, I knew we’d hit it off! I LOVE getting to know my couples and I had such a blast getting to know Elijah as well. It has been a joy photographing them because they are both so much fun and so incredibly sweet to one another. You can tell just from spending a few minutes with them that they are made for each other. They met in high school and have been on lots of adventures since then including a move cross country to NYC and back. Now that they are back on the west coast, they have settled down with their adorable dog and are planning their big day.
For their engagement session, they picked a spot that was special to both of them. They both grew up in the area and went to school nearby and have lots of fond memories of lake Temescal. This was the perfect backdrop for them and they popped off the backdrop with both their formal outfit choice and their casual one. There were even some fall colors for their session and gorgeous sunshine rays coming through the trees and hills surrounding the lake. I simply can’t pick a favorite image or moment because they were all so good! These two are such natural models!
I am even more excited about their wedding next October and I can’t wait to see them both again!
