What a truly lovely day with two absolute gems! Raj and Alyssa have seen ups and downs with the pandemic, had to move wedding days, and planned their Oakland wedding all from the East Coast. Even through all that, they were all smiles when their special day finally arrived.
This sweet garden wedding was a reflection of their life together. All throughout their wedding, there were so many special details that told their love story. Their colors of blues and gold reflected their meeting at UC Berekely through the Cal marching band, and their tables were named after all the places that they had traveled together and they blended a mix of western and Indian wedding traditions for a totally unique wedding day. Their ceremony had western traditions such as the exchange of rings, vows and I do’s and they also had Indian traditions of exchanging garlands, walking together and taking the seven vows, and Raj adorning Alyssa with a thali necklace.
Their wedding day started with a romantic first look on the front porch of the historic estate on the property, followed by a ceremony under a grove of trees. After the ceremony, they and their guests danced the night away under the stars. Instead of a cake, they opted for fresh donuts where each person could pick their own toppings. It was so special that they made their wedding totally their own and a reflection of their personalities and their story!
We are so excited that they could finally tie the knot after a crazy pandemic year and we wish them all the happiness in the world!
