Theo & Ryan’s Engagement Session at the SF Botanical Gardens

This was such a special engagement session! After a surprise proposal to his high school sweetheart, Theo knew that he wanted a really amazing spot for their engagement session. Since they both share a love of plants, they decided to have their session somewhere with lots of flowers and some epic redwood trees. They picked out the SF Botanical Gardens which was the perfect spot for the two of them.

They met and fell in love during high school while doing theatre together before heading off to the same college. This was an extra special session because I met both of them while working as a theatre teacher years ago and it was so neat to capture a really sweet season of life for them.

There were so many awesome spots at the Botanical Gardens, but a few of my favorite moments were in the Redwood grove and the moon-viewing garden. The Redwood grove looked like something out of a fairy tale, especially with all the ferns and the gorgeous trees. The moon viewing garden was also incredible and almost didn’t look real. There are a bunch of Japanese maples that all hang over a small Pavillion on a pond. The moon viewing garden is tucked away in a corner of the garden, but well worth the trek.

Theo and Ryan looked absolutely stunning and you can really tell how in love they are just by being around them for a moment. I’m so happy for them and their next steps on their journey together!
