A wedding with sweet and spooky details? Check. Swoonworthy first look? Check. A joyful and fun reception. Check! Annie and Elijah legally married in 2020 but due to Covid, they weren’t able to properly celebrate with their friends and family. They changed that this October with a gorgeous celebration that was bursting at the seams with special moments. They decided to have their wedding at Annie’s mom’s house and they decorated the whole end of the cul de sac. They incorporated Halloween vibes and vibrant oranges and purples and a dash of black in their details like her bouquet, glittery spiderweb table decor, Elijah’s crochet tie, purple and orange twinkle lights and skeleton cake toppers. An extra special sweet touch was done by Annie’s mom who made Annie’s veil and even made a matching veil for the cake topper. Not only that, her mom even made the incredibly delicious wedding cake. Personalized details like that are so special!

The whole day felt like a dream. From the mist rolling over the Oakland hills to their sweet first look and their vibrant ceremony and reception. Their first look was an extra special moment because Annie has had her wedding dress for the past three years and was so excited for Elijah to see her in it at long last. It was such an amazing moment to see him react to her standing there when he turned around. They are absolutely adorable together!

For their ceremony, they incorporated Jewish wedding traditions such as standing under a Chuppah which their friends held up. They also read and signed a ketubah. They had an artist make it just for them with illustrated blossoms and was written in both English and Hebrew. One really special moment that stands out was when their guests were invited to gather around them and hold their hands out while Annie & Elijah were received blessings.

The fun didn’t stop there, their reception was filled with laughter and fun and a few surprises. A family friend wrote a song about their love (how amazing!) and performed it on his guitar. Annie and Elijah were surprised with the Jewish tradition of the Horah in which the two of them were lifted up on chairs.

We’re so happy for Annie & Elijah on the celebration of their marriage! It was such a special and romantic day. We wish them all the happiness in the world in this next chapter of their lives together!
