Marcus & Grace’s Engagement Session in the Oakland hills

Their love story is ten years in the making. After meeting in 2009, they are tying the knot in 2019! What I love about these two is how kind and funny they are with each other. They have been with each other through thick and thin and are still laughing with one another and just having the best time together!

The light was so soft and glowy when we went into the woods for Grace and Marcus’ session at Joaquin Miller Park. This is such a special place not only for the epic trees and greenery but because it is a spot where Paul and I used to go when we were first falling in love. There’s something so romantic about that spot. One of my favorite trails to use is the Redwood Glen trail because there is a path that leads to one of my favorite spots as well as clearings with lots of wildflowers during the spring. Scroll down to see more of Grace and Marcus in the wildflowers during the second half of their session and their ring shot in the wildflowers as well!

Since they are getting married under the Redwoods at the Brazillian Room in Berkeley, this was a great engagement session location for them. It is a great way to tie in the engagement session to the wedding and have a consistent location look throughout all their images on their wedding journey! I couldn’t be happier for them and I am even more excited for their wedding later this summer in Berkeley!
